During this week, Kendal English School commemorated International Women’s Day, an opportunity to reflect on and appreciate the important contributions that women have made throughout history in many different areas of society, as well as in our daily lives.During our assembly, students actively participated in a guided reflection where they were able to identify influential female figures, both from around the world and from their own personal lives. Many students mentioned women they deeply admire, such as scientists, athletes, artists, teachers, and also important women in their families, including their mothers, grandmothers, and sisters.Through this activity, we aimed to share a clear and positive message with our students: women are capable of achieving great goals, contributing their talents and efforts, and playing a fundamental role in our society.As a school community, we believe it is essential to promote from an early age respect, appreciation, and recognition for the contributions of all people, encouraging our students to admire those who inspire others through their dedication and work.We thank everyone who participated in this meaningful moment of learning and reflection.  Durante la presente semana, en Kendal English School conmemoramos el Día Internacional de la Mujer, una instancia que nos invita a reflexionar y valorar el importante aporte que las mujeres han realizado a lo largo de la historia en distintos ámbitos de la sociedad, así como también en nuestra vida cotidiana.Durante nuestra asamblea, los estudiantes participaron activamente en una reflexión guiada donde pudieron identificar figuras femeninas influyentes, tanto del mundo como de su entorno cercano. Muchos niños y niñas destacaron a mujeres que admiran profundamente, como científicas, deportistas, artistas, profesoras, y también a mujeres significativas en sus propias vidas, como sus madres, abuelas y hermanas.A través de esta actividad, buscamos transmitir a nuestros estudiantes un mensaje claro y positivo: las mujeres son capaces de alcanzar grandes metas, aportar con su talento y esfuerzo, y desempeñar un rol fundamental en nuestra sociedad.Como comunidad educativa, creemos que es fundamental promover desde temprana edad el respeto, la valoración y el reconocimiento del aporte de todas las personas, fomentando en nuestros estudiantes la admiración por quienes, con su trabajo y dedicación, inspiran a otros.Agradecemos a todos quienes participaron en esta significativa instancia de aprendizaje y reflexión.

On March 2nd, 2026, we proudly opened the doors of our school to welcome our students back and begin a new academic year.We started this new cycle with joy, enthusiasm, and great expectations, delighted to come together again as a community and to fill our classrooms with learning, curiosity, and friendship.We are very happy to begin this year accompanying our students in new challenges, learning experiences, and opportunities that will continue to support their academic and personal growth.We wish everyone a wonderful 2026 filled with learning, friendship, and great achievements.<br><br><br>El 2 de marzo de 2026 abrimos nuevamente las puertas de nuestro colegio para dar inicio a un nuevo año escolar junto a nuestros queridos estudiantes.Comenzamos este nuevo ciclo con alegría, entusiasmo y grandes expectativas, felices de reencontrarnos como comunidad y de volver a llenar nuestras salas de aprendizaje, curiosidad y compañerismo.Estamos muy contentos de iniciar este año acompañando a nuestros estudiantes en nuevos desafíos, aprendizajes y experiencias que seguirán fortaleciendo su desarrollo académico y personal.¡Les deseamos a todos un maravilloso 2026 lleno de aprendizajes, amistad y grandes logros!

En el marco del compromiso institucional con la innovación pedagógica y la formación continua, el equipo de profesores del colegio participó en una charla/capacitación sobre el uso ético de la Inteligencia Artificial (IA) en la práctica docente, instancia orientada a fortalecer el uso responsable y ético de estas tecnologías en el aula.La actividad fue impartida por Fransa Aravena, Ingeniera en Informática, y tuvo como objetivo general entregar conocimientos básicos sobre qué es y cómo funciona la Inteligencia Artificial, promoviendo su uso intencionado, equilibrado y ético en el contexto educativo, considerando además la Ley 21.719 de Protección de Datos PersonalesDurante la capacitación se abordaron contenidos fundamentales como la comprensión del funcionamiento de la Inteligencia Artificial, los aspectos éticos asociados a su uso, los posibles sesgos y precauciones, así como las oportunidades y riesgos que implica su incorporación en el ámbito educativo. Asimismo, se reflexionó sobre los beneficios profesionales de integrar herramientas de IA en la práctica docente y la importancia de resguardar la información y los datos personales.En una segunda etapa, la charla se centró en el uso práctico de herramientas basadas en Inteligencia Artificial, presentando aplicaciones concretas orientadas a optimizar el tiempo y apoyar la labor pedagógica. Esta instancia incluyó demostraciones guiadas de herramientas digitales y una reflexión inicial sobre la posibilidad de avanzar hacia un marco regulatorio interno para el uso de IA en el colegio.Esta capacitación reafirma el compromiso del colegio con una educación de calidad, donde la tecnología se concibe como un apoyo al trabajo docente y al aprendizaje significativo, promoviendo siempre una mirada ética, crítica y centrada en las personas.&nbsp;&nbsp;As part of the institution’s commitment to pedagogical innovation and continuous professional development, the school’s teaching staff participated in a lecture and training session on the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in teaching practice. This initiative aimed to strengthen the responsible and ethical use of these technologies in the classroom.The session was delivered by Fransa Aravena, Computer Engineer, and its main objective was to provide basic knowledge about what Artificial Intelligence is and how it works, promoting its intentional, balanced, and ethical use in the educational context, while also considering Law 21,719 on the Protection of Personal Data.During the training, fundamental topics were addressed, including an understanding of how Artificial Intelligence functions, the ethical aspects associated with its use, potential biases and precautions, as well as the opportunities and risks involved in its incorporation into the educational field. In addition, participants reflected on the professional benefits of integrating AI-based tools into teaching practice and the importance of safeguarding information and personal data.In a second stage, the session focused on the practical use of Artificial Intelligence tools, presenting concrete applications aimed at optimizing time and supporting pedagogical work. This part included guided demonstrations of digital tools and an initial reflection on the possibility of developing an internal regulatory framework for the use of AI within the school.This training reinforces the school’s commitment to quality education, where technology is understood as a support for teaching practice and meaningful learning, always promoting an ethical, critical, and people-centered approach.
