Celebramos el Día Nacional de la Convivencia EscolarEl pasado martes 28 de abril, nuestra comunidad educativa se unió para conmemorar el Día Nacional de la Convivencia Escolar, una instancia significativa que nos invitó a reflexionar sobre la importancia de construir relaciones basadas en el respeto, la empatía y la colaboración.Durante la jornada, nuestros estudiantes participaron en diversas actividades especialmente diseñadas para su nivel, en las que pudieron dialogar, compartir experiencias y profundizar en el valor de una sana convivencia. A través de dinámicas lúdicas y espacios de conversación, los niños y niñas reflexionaron sobre sus acciones, el buen trato y la importancia de cuidar a quienes los rodean.Estas instancias son fundamentales para fortalecer un ambiente escolar positivo, donde cada estudiante se sienta seguro, valorado y parte de una comunidad que aprende y crece en conjunto.Agradecemos a todos quienes hicieron posible esta jornada, reafirmando nuestro compromiso con la formación integral de nuestros estudiantes.  Celebrating Wellbeing and positive relationships at schoolLast Tuesday, April 28th, our school community came together to celebrate National School Coexistence Day, a meaningful occasion that encouraged us to reflect on the importance of building relationships based on respect, empathy, and collaboration, all of which are essential for students’ wellbeing.Throughout the day, our students participated in a variety of activities designed according to their level, where they had the opportunity to share ideas, express their thoughts, and deepen their understanding of positive coexistence. Through engaging dynamics and guided discussions, children reflected on their actions, kindness, and the importance of caring for others and contributing to a positive environment that supports everyone’s wellbeing.These experiences play a key role in fostering a positive school climate, where every student feels safe, valued, and part of a supportive learning community.We would like to thank everyone who contributed to making this day possible, reaffirming our commitment to our students’ wellbeing and holistic development.

Book Week: A Celebration of Imagination and LearningLast week, as part of our Book Day celebrations, our school community enjoyed a week full of creativity, enthusiasm, and a love for reading, with special activities taking place every day.We began on Monday with a cozy Literary Breakfast, where students enjoyed their favorite books while sharing a delicious breakfast, creating a calm and meaningful reading space.On Tuesday, we held our much-anticipated Book Fair, where students brought books to sell and exchange, encouraging the joy of sharing stories and discovering new ones.Wednesday was all about creativity, as students presented the stories they had written to participate in our literary contest, showcasing their imagination and dedication.On Thursday, we gathered for a special assembly where students paraded wearing their creative literary hats, filling the space with color and excitement. During this assembly, we also held the awards ceremony for the story-writing contest. Afterwards, students enjoyed a variety of interactive stands in the playground, all related to books and reading, making for a fun and enriching experience.Finally, on Friday, to close the week, 3rd and 4th grade students shared a special moment with our Infant Section, telling stories in English, fostering reading, learning, and meaningful connections between different grade levels.It was truly an unforgettable week that strengthened our students’ connection with reading, fostering imagination, expression, and a lifelong love of books. Semana del Libro: una celebración llena de imaginación y aprendizajeLa semana pasada, en el marco de la celebración del Día del Libro, nuestra comunidad vivió una experiencia llena de creatividad, entusiasmo y amor por la lectura, con actividades especiales durante toda la semana.Iniciamos el lunes con un acogedor Desayuno Literario, instancia en la que los estudiantes disfrutaron de sus lecturas favoritas acompañados de un rico desayuno, generando un espacio tranquilo y significativo en torno a los libros.El martes se llevó a cabo nuestra esperada Feria del Libro, donde los niños participaron activamente trayendo libros para vender e intercambiar, fomentando así el valor de compartir historias y descubrir nuevas lecturas.El miércoles estuvo marcado por la creatividad, ya que los estudiantes presentaron los cuentos que crearon para participar en nuestro concurso literario, demostrando gran imaginación y dedicación.El jueves celebramos una especial asamblea, en la que los estudiantes desfilaron con sus originales sombreros literarios, llenando el espacio de color y creatividad. En esta instancia también realizamos la premiación del concurso de cuentos. Luego, en el patio, los niños participaron en diversos stands interactivos relacionados con la lectura y los libros, disfrutando de una jornada lúdica y enriquecedora.Finalmente, el viernes, para cerrar la semana, los estudiantes de 3° y 4° básico compartieron un hermoso momento con los niños de Infant Section, contándoles cuentos en inglés, promoviendo así la lectura, el aprendizaje y el vínculo entre los distintos niveles.Sin duda, fue una semana inolvidable que fortaleció el vínculo de nuestros estudiantes con la lectura, promoviendo la imaginación, la expresión y el amor por los libros.

Last Wednesday, April 8th, our branch experienced a morning full of enthusiasm, concentration, and logical thinking with the Math Olympiad held for 2nd to 4th grade students.During the activity, students put their mathematical skills to the test through a variety of challenges that promoted teamwork, problem-solving, and a love for mathematics. It was an enriching experience that allowed students to share, learn, and have fun while developing their critical thinking skills.We would like to congratulate all participants for their effort and commitment, and extend our gratitude to the teachers and organizing team for their dedication in preparing this meaningful event.We will continue to foster a love for learning and celebrate our students’ achievements! El pasado miércoles 8 de abril se vivió una jornada llena de entusiasmo, concentración y pensamiento lógico en nuestra sede, con la realización de las Olimpiadas de Matemática dirigidas a los niveles de 2° a 4° básico.Durante la actividad, los estudiantes pusieron a prueba sus habilidades matemáticas a través de diversos desafíos que promovieron el trabajo en equipo, la resolución de problemas y el gusto por esta disciplina. During this week, Kendal English School commemorated International Women’s Day, an opportunity to reflect on and appreciate the important contributions that women have made throughout history in many different areas of society, as well as in our daily lives.During our assembly, students actively participated in a guided reflection where they were able to identify influential female figures, both from around the world and from their own personal lives. Many students mentioned women they deeply admire, such as scientists, athletes, artists, teachers, and also important women in their families, including their mothers, grandmothers, and sisters.Through this activity, we aimed to share a clear and positive message with our students: women are capable of achieving great goals, contributing their talents and efforts, and playing a fundamental role in our society.As a school community, we believe it is essential to promote from an early age respect, appreciation, and recognition for the contributions of all people, encouraging our students to admire those who inspire others through their dedication and work.We thank everyone who participated in this meaningful moment of learning and reflection.&nbsp;&nbsp;Durante la presente semana, en Kendal English School conmemoramos el Día Internacional de la Mujer, una instancia que nos invita a reflexionar y valorar el importante aporte que las mujeres han realizado a lo largo de la historia en distintos ámbitos de la sociedad, así como también en nuestra vida cotidiana.Durante nuestra asamblea, los estudiantes participaron activamente en una reflexión guiada donde pudieron identificar figuras femeninas influyentes, tanto del mundo como de su entorno cercano. Muchos niños y niñas destacaron a mujeres que admiran profundamente, como científicas, deportistas, artistas, profesoras, y también a mujeres significativas en sus propias vidas, como sus madres, abuelas y hermanas.A través de esta actividad, buscamos transmitir a nuestros estudiantes un mensaje claro y positivo: las mujeres son capaces de alcanzar grandes metas, aportar con su talento y esfuerzo, y desempeñar un rol fundamental en nuestra sociedad.Como comunidad educativa, creemos que es fundamental promover desde temprana edad el respeto, la valoración y el reconocimiento del aporte de todas las personas, fomentando en nuestros estudiantes la admiración por quienes, con su trabajo y dedicación, inspiran a otros.Agradecemos a todos quienes participaron en esta significativa instancia de aprendizaje y reflexión.
