CLASES DE NATACIÓN PARA 3° Y 4° BÁSICO<o:p></o:p>Durante el mes de noviembre, los estudiantes de 3° y 4° básico participarán en clases de natación, como parte de una unidad pedagógica correspondiente al currículum de Educación Física y Salud de nuestro programa académico.<o:p></o:p>Las clases se desarrollarán en las instalaciones del Club Deportivo de la Universidad San Sebastián, donde los estudiantes contarán con espacios adecuados y todas las medidas de seguridad necesarias para el desarrollo de la actividad.<o:p></o:p>Esta iniciativa tiene como objetivo desarrollar habilidades acuáticas básicas, promover la seguridad en el agua y fortalecer la autonomía y confianza de los estudiantes en un entorno controlado y seguro. Además, la natación es una actividad altamente beneficiosa para el bienestar físico, contribuyendo al desarrollo de la coordinación motora, la resistencia, la respiración y la conciencia corporal.<o:p></o:p>Las sesiones serán guiadas por los docentes del colegio, quienes garantizarán una experiencia formativa segura, estructurada y significativa para todos.<o:p></o:p>Estamos muy contentos de ofrecer esta instancia educativa que fomenta hábitos de vida saludable y aprendizaje activo más allá del aula.&nbsp;<hr><o:p></o:p><h2 style="text-align:justify;">SWIMMING LESSONS FOR 3rd AND 4th GRADE STUDENTS<o:p></o:p></h2>Throughout the month of November, our 3rd and 4th grade students will participate in swimming lessons as part of the Physical Education and Health curriculum.&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>These lessons will take place at the Sports Club of Universidad San Sebastián, where students will benefit from professional facilities and a safe environment adapted for aquatic learning.<o:p></o:p>The purpose of this unit is to help students develop basic swimming skills, learn about water safety, and build confidence and independence in the water. Swimming is not only an essential life skill but also a highly beneficial activity that improves motor coordination, endurance, breathing capacity, and overall physical well-being.<o:p></o:p>All sessions will be led by our teaching staff, ensuring a structured, safe, and enjoyable learning experience.<o:p></o:p>We are proud to provide this opportunity, which promotes healthy habits, physical development, and meaningful learning beyond the classroom.<o:p></o:p>&nbsp;

Celebramos el 33° Aniversario del Colegio Kendal English School<o:p></o:p>Esta semana hemos vivido una emocionante celebración con motivo del 33° aniversario de nuestro Colegio Kendal English School. Como es tradición, los estudiantes participaron en las Alianzas Windsor y York, las cuales este año añadieron un componente especial incorporando temáticas históricas: Egipto y Grecia, respectivamente. Esta combinación permitió no solo fomentar el espíritu de competencia sana, sino también integrar elementos culturales y educativos en cada actividad.<o:p></o:p>A lo largo de la semana se llevaron a cabo diferentes instancias de participación y trabajo colaborativo entre los estudiantes, entre ellas:<o:p></o:p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;" type="disc"><li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:normal;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo1;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Decoración de salas con los elementos característicos de cada temática.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:normal;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo1;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Elaboración y presentación de creativos birthday cakes confeccionados con cartón y otros materiales reciclados.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:normal;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo1;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Recolección de donaciones para Helping Hands, promoviendo la solidaridad y el compromiso social.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:normal;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo1;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Creación de una cápsula del tiempo, que será resguardada para las futuras generaciones Kendalinas.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:normal;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo1;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Actividades deportivas y recreativas que fortalecieron el compañerismo y la vida saludable.<o:p></o:p></li></ul>Uno de los momentos más esperados fue el desfile, donde los estudiantes lucieron hermosos disfraces representando a sus alianzas y temáticas, llenando los espacios de color, alegría y entusiasmo.<o:p></o:p>Este aniversario fue una instancia significativa para recordar nuestra historia como comunidad educativa y proyectarnos hacia el futuro, siempre manteniendo nuestros valores y el espíritu Kendalino que nos caracteriza.<o:p></o:p>Agradecemos la participación, energía y compromiso de estudiantes, profesores y familias, quienes hicieron posible esta celebración tan especial.<o:p></o:p>&nbsp;<hr><h3 style="text-align:justify;">--Kendal English School Celebrates its 33rd Anniversary<o:p></o:p></h3>This week, our school joyfully celebrated the 33rd anniversary of Kendal English School with a variety of special activities that promoted creativity, teamwork, and school spirit. Kendal English School Celebrates its 33rd Anniversary

El pasado miércoles 29 de octubre, los estudiantes de 3° básico de las sedes Providencia y Ñuñoa participaron en una enriquecedora jornada de integración, realizada en el Parque Padre Alberto Hurtado.<o:p></o:p>Durante la actividad, los niños y niñas disfrutaron de dinámicas especialmente diseñadas para conocerse y fortalecer la convivencia entre ambos cursos. Posteriormente, participaron en distintos juegos deportivos y recreativos, donde se vivieron momentos de alegría, trabajo en equipo y sana convivencia.<o:p></o:p>La jornada culminó con un picnic al aire libre, instancia que permitió compartir en un ambiente natural y de camaradería, reforzando vínculos y construyendo recuerdos significativos.<o:p></o:p>Agradecemos a todos quienes hicieron posible esta actividad, que contribuye al desarrollo socioemocional de nuestros estudiantes y al fortalecimiento de la comunidad Kendalina.<o:p></o:p>&nbsp;<h3>3rd Grade Integration Day – Providencia &amp; Ñuñoa Branches&nbsp;<o:p></o:p></h3>On Wednesday, October 29th, the 3rd grade students from the Providencia and Ñuñoa branches participated in a meaningful Integration Day held at Parque Padre Alberto Hurtado.<o:p></o:p>Throughout the morning, the children took part in a variety of activities designed to help them get to know one another better and strengthen bonds between both groups. They enjoyed team-building dynamics, sports games, and recreational activities, all within an environment of joy, friendship, and cooperation.<o:p></o:p>The day concluded with a picnic, giving students the opportunity to share, relax, and connect in a natural and welcoming setting.<o:p></o:p>We thank everyone who helped make this experience possible, as it contributes to the social and emotional development of our students and encourages a sense of community within Kendal English School.&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>

Jornada de Integración 3° Básicos – Sedes Ñuñoa y Providencia

Con gran orgullo celebramos a nuestros estudiantes que destacaron en el torneo final de “Ajedrez en Aula”, demostrando no solo su talento, sino también su compromiso con una disciplina que desarrolla habilidades clave para la vida.<o:p></o:p>Diversos estudios en el ámbito de las neurociencias han demostrado que el ajedrez estimula áreas del cerebro relacionadas con la memoria, la concentración y el razonamiento lógico. Jugar ajedrez fortalece las conexiones neuronales, mejora la toma de decisiones y favorece el pensamiento estratégico y creativo, contribuyendo al desarrollo integral de los estudiantes.<o:p></o:p>Además, esta práctica fomenta el respeto, la perseverancia y la capacidad de aprender de cada movimiento, valores fundamentales dentro y fuera de la sala de clases.<o:p></o:p>Felicitamos a todos los participantes por su entusiasmo y dedicación, y especialmente a nuestros campeones, quienes con esfuerzo y estrategia lograron este gran reconocimiento. ¡Que este logro los motive a seguir avanzando y a continuar moviendo las piezas hacia nuevos desafíos y aprendizajes!<o:p></o:p>---<o:p></o:p>We are proud to celebrate our students who stood out in the “Chess in the Classroom” final tournament, demonstrating not only their talent but also their commitment to a discipline that develops key life skills.<o:p></o:p>Research in the field of neuroscience has shown that playing chess stimulates brain areas related to memory, focus, and logical reasoning. It strengthens neural connections, enhances decision-making, and promotes strategic and creative thinking, contributing to students’ overall cognitive development.<o:p></o:p>In addition, chess encourages respect, perseverance, and the ability to learn from every move; values that are fundamental both inside and outside the classroom.<o:p></o:p>We congratulate all participants for their enthusiasm and dedication, and especially our champions, who through effort and strategy achieved this well-deserved recognition.
